Remembering Gordon Lightfoot This Week on Smooth and Easy
Earlier this week, a Canadian music legend passed away. Gordon Lightfoot helped popularize Canadian folk music starting in the 1960s, and wrote and performed numerous songs regarding everything from the Canadian railroads, to the sinking of an iron ore freighter.
On this week’s Smooth and Easy, heard Saturday at 01:00 UTC (or Friday at 9:00 PM Eastern, 6:00 PM Pacific in the Americas), we’re celebrating the music of Gordon Lightfoot in addition to our usual mix of Smooth Jazz and Easy Listening music.
You’re also welcome to contact me, Kelly Sapergia, during the show with any memories you have of Gordon’s music, or just to say hi.
You can chat with myself and other listeners during the live broadcast, or contact me anytime via Mastodon or email.
