We’re going to Brazil on The Global Classical Hour tonight, and we’re taking the train!
Please join me for an hour of western classical music from around the globe. This week we’re taking a trip to Brazil, land of samba, soccer and carnaval. We’ll hear works composed in 1930 and 1890 by 2 Brazilian composers, Heitor Villa-Lobos and Alexandre Levy, who use Brazilian folk music in their pieces. And, if you like train songs, we’ve got one!
It’s at 0 UTC first thing on Sunday, catch it Saturday night at 8 PM eastern, 5 PM Pacific, 1 AM in the UK, and 2 A.M. Sunday in central Europe.
If you miss the airing you can always listen or download the show from
